AFC North preview: Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers

The wait is over and the NFL season is upon us!
The 100th season of the league begins Thursday, September 5 if the Chicago Bears host the Green Bay Packers, live on Sky Sports.
Before then, it’s time to assess 2019’s contenders.
We’re previewing all eight branches, and here it is possible to find our perspectives on the AFC North and cast your vote on who you believe will win below…
Head coach: Mike Tomlin
Key man: Ben Roethlisberger has been the heart and soul of this franchise, Since he had been nominated in 2004. Despite getting on old and projecting the most interceptions in the NFL last season (16), the 37-year-old is still among the greatest quarterbacks in the group.
Roethlisberger has dropped his favorite goal for the last six seasons – Antonio Brown – but JuJu Smith-Schuster’s development can help him hugely. Their venture could become one of their most hazardous in the league.
Additions: The marquee moves this offseason at Pittsburgh were departures. After sitting out the 2018 year old while Le’Veon Bell declared Best wideout Brown has been traded to Oakland.
On the other hand, the Steelers drafted well. Linebacker Devin Bush who is immediately one of the favourites to win Defensive Rookie of the Year was picked by them. On crime, speedy wide receiver Diontae Johnson and running Benny Snell will lead.
Season: They missed the playoffs because 2013 for the first time , ending 9-6-1.
The Steelers won seven of the 10 matches to get to 7-2-1, but playoff hopes were dashed when they lost four of their next five. When Baltimore won, eliminating the Steelers from emptiness their destiny was sealed in Week 17.
Prospects: Roethlisberger and Smith-Schuster could take their relationship to a whole new level this year, although the line enables James Conner to flourish in the running and passing game and is one of the finest from the league.
The Steelers are solid and seem to have improved this offseason with the purchase of Bush. They will be hoping for a quick return.
Prediction: 1st (11-5)
Head coach: John Harbaugh
Key man: when Lamar Jackson started The Ravens went year. Nevertheless, the 22-year-old needs to improve in the passing game when he would like to return to the postseason as groups know what to expect when coming up against him. He just threw for 1,201 yards and six touchdowns last year, but however rushed for five touchdowns and 695 yards.
This crime can be lethal if Jackson can get the perfect blend between both kinds of attack. With the amount of hits he chooses as a rusher, Jackson has to learn to protect himself.
Major additions: Running Back Mark Ingram was brought in on a three-year, $15m bargain and is a much bigger and better version of Alex Collins. Keep an eye on fourth-round runner Justice Hill supporting him, who impressed in preseason. On protection, six-time Pro Bowler Earl Thomas has been the significant addition when he signed up a $55m contract at free agency.
The Ravens lacked wide receiver production last year but that does not seem to be true anymore… Rookies Marquise Brown and Miles Boykin will provide a much-needed speed outside.
Last season: The benching of starting quarterback Joe Flacco after a Week Nine reduction ended up being a blessing. They moved in an abysmal album that was 4-5 to which makes the playoffs taking the league and finish the year 10-6.
Their playoff encounter didn’t last long since they were defeated in the Wild Card round by the Los Angeles Chargers.
Prospects: Although the Ravens aren’t one of the AFC powerhouses, they are definitely on the cusp. Then they have a probability of winning the division if Jackson is able to generate more through the atmosphere. The QB wills enhance.
The defense will be strong yet again and with the accession of hard-hitting Thomas the secondary must return from 2018 for their turnover potential, if they led the league in takeaways.
Prediction: 2nd (9-7)
Head coach: Freddie Kitchens
Key man: Regardless of being pipped last season by Saquon Barkley,” Baker Mayfield is one of the very quarterbacks in the NFL. The 24-year-old broke the record for most touchdown passes thrown by a newcomer (27).
His offense is stacked with weapons – including Odell Beckham Jr, Jarvis Landry and Nick Chubb – so if he’s not able to improve on his stats a lot of questions will be requested.
Big improvements: In arguably the biggest transfer of the summer, the Browns obtained Beckham Jr at a trade. Olivier Vernon made the identical trip in a deal.
2017 Pro Bowl was added to the roster by the Kansas City Chiefs following his release. However, the 24-year-old is frozen for the first eight matches of the season because of breaking the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
Last year: In the two prior seasons, the Browns had a record. By Week Five last year, they had already won two games. However, a string of four losses in a row saw Hue Jackson fired along with Gregg Williams put in charge for the rest of the season.
Williams came close to directing the Browns for their first .500 year since 2007, but they fell at 7-8-1.
Prospects: There’s been a lot of hype on account of the number of big names they have brought on crime, but the group may take time to gel.
The assault is filled with celebrities and the registering of Hunt can help down the stretch if he falls from suspension. Myles Garrett along with Denzel Ward are defensive studs, but the remaining portion of the unit needs work.
In a division, co workers and Mayfield must hit the ground running to reach the playoffs.
Prediction: 3rd (9-7)
Head trainer: Zac Taylor
Key man: the Bengals rely on their running back Despite their quarterback being relied on by teams. Joe Mixon is one of the very few sparks with this group.
The 23-year-old had yards and nine touchdowns last year but was somehow not appointed to the Pro Bowl, despite leading the AFC.
Mixon is online for another active year because the Bengals are lacking caliber at receiver, especially due to A.J. Green’s harm. Without Mixon, this team may be the worst in the NFL.
Big additions: The Bengals decided not to strengthen their ranks with stars during free service. Guard John Miller can be the notable inclusion that is veteran.
The 2019 NFL Draft was not better since Cincy’s first-round pick Jonah Williams has been ruled out for the period. They might have drafted their quarterback. He’s appeared sharp at preseason, but will not be dethroning Andy Dalton.
Last season: The Bengals got off to a hot start, winning four of the first five games. Throughout the remainder of the year, they simply mustered two victories up, leaving them with an underwhelming 6-10 record.
Injuries played a part as during the season, 26 players had been placed on Injured Reserve – like wide receiver Green.
Prospects: With a depleted roster and head coach, the Bengals are expected to fight. They have an quarterback who hasn’t led them into the playoffs because 2015 and they maybe not depth on offense, so Mixon will be the choice.
The defense has also been riddled with injuries and isn’t much better. It might be another season for the Bengals.
Prediction: 4th (4-12)
